The Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, criticized the Modi government’s handling of the economy during a visit to Raebareli. At a public event, he referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah as “traitors,” accusing them of harming the nation. Gandhi warned of an impending economic crisis due to the government’s policies, predicting rising inflation, fuel prices, and shortages of essential goods like LPG gas.
Gandhi urged the public to speak out against the government’s actions, highlighting discrepancies between the Prime Minister’s advice on spending cuts and his own extravagant foreign trips. He expressed concerns about farmers facing difficulties in obtaining fertilizers and called for defending the Constitution against attempts to undermine its core principles. Gandhi also criticized the BJP and RSS for allegedly diluting the Constitution’s essence and blamed them for the country’s current challenges.
During his visit to Raebareli, Gandhi compared the looming economic crisis to past challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic and demonetization, warning of tough times ahead for the people. He emphasized the need for public support in safeguarding the Constitution and addressing the economic turmoil that he believes the government will struggle to alleviate.
