Rajasthan BJP president, Madan Rathore, criticized the opposition for employing “hired goons” in protests related to an alleged paper leak, asserting that the demonstrations were politically motivated rather than student-led. He mentioned that none of the individuals injured and hospitalized were students. Rathore made these statements during a BJP protest march in Jaipur against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent demonstration at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence and the opposition’s protests regarding examination irregularities.

The statewide protest led by Rathore commenced at the party’s state headquarters and proceeded towards the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) office. Party leaders, women workers, youth activists, and BJP supporters participated in the march, chanting slogans against the Congress and Rahul Gandhi. Rathore alleged that the protests concerning the paper leak were part of a premeditated political scheme rather than a genuine student movement. He claimed that investigations revealed none of the hospitalized individuals were students.

Accusing the Congress of bringing in “hired goons” from outside the state to disrupt the protests and engage in stone-pelting, Rathore also claimed that anti-national slogans were raised during the demonstrations. He emphasized that the BJP’s demonstration aimed to highlight the opposition’s disregard for democratic norms and parliamentary decorum. Rathore criticized the opposition’s behavior during recent protests in Delhi, stating that the demonstrations outside PM Modi’s residence were inconsistent with parliamentary traditions.
