Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, noting the country’s steady progress in development and economic stability over the past 12 years. He lauded Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s Union Budget, stating it aims to propel the nation towards development and self-reliance.
Sharma highlighted the budget’s focus on uplifting all sections of society, especially the youth, through provisions for employment generation, skill development, and support for startups. He emphasized the importance of initiatives like skill training for allied health professionals and caregivers, which directly benefit the youth.
The Chief Minister also pointed out the budget’s emphasis on women empowerment, agricultural infrastructure enhancement, and opportunities for industries. He encouraged industries to leverage the budget’s incentives, particularly in sectors like biopharmaceuticals, textiles, and handicrafts, to establish a global presence and boost Rajasthan’s economy.
The budget’s allocations for renewable energy, solar power initiatives, and support for small industries were highlighted by Sharma as significant for Rajasthan’s growth. He expressed confidence in the state’s readiness to capitalize on policies related to semiconductors, data centers, and small and medium enterprises, positioning Rajasthan as a hub for technological advancements.
