The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer in Rajasthan has issued a Daily Bulletin on the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, covering the claims and objections period from December 16, 2025, to January 19, 2026. The revision process, conducted under the Representation of the People Act, 1950, witnessed significant public and political involvement.
During the review period, political parties and individual electors across the state submitted a substantial number of applications for inclusion and exclusion in the Draft Electoral Roll, which comprised 5,04,71,324 electors.
Political parties, represented by Booth Level Agents (BLAs), submitted a total of 2,245 claims for inclusion and 18,898 objections for exclusion. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led with 2,133 BLAs, 291 inclusion claims, and 18,896 exclusion claims.
The Indian National Congress had 110 BLAs, 185 inclusion claims, and 2 exclusion claims, while the Bharat Adivasi Party had 2 BLAs and 2 inclusion claims. Only claims and objections submitted in prescribed forms are considered valid, as per the CEO’s office. A significant number of applications were directly received from citizens.
A total of 10,48,493 applications were filed for the inclusion of eligible electors, and 1,10,474 applications were submitted for the exclusion of ineligible electors. Additionally, 12,428 Form 7 applications for deletion, including those from before October 27, 2025, were being reviewed.
The Election Commission had already received a substantial number of applications between October 27 and December 16, 2025. No affidavits were received from non-electors during this phase. The Chief Electoral Officer emphasized that the revision aims to ensure the accuracy of the electoral roll by including eligible citizens and removing ineligible or duplicate entries.
All claims and objections will undergo strict verification before the final electoral roll is published. The surge in applications reflects increased public awareness and political parties’ active participation in the democratic process in Rajasthan. The data shared were collected until Monday 3 p.m.
