The Rajasthan government has taken decisive action against irregularities within the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS). Seven doctors have been suspended in Sikar district following audits that revealed alleged irregularities. Additionally, criminal proceedings have been initiated against Bharatpur Nursing Home and Bothra Diagnostic and Imaging Centre for fraudulent claims and misuse of the RGHS system. Investigations uncovered collusion between Kashish Pharmacy and Bharatpur Nursing Home, leading to fake claims and financial losses to taxpayers.
The crackdown also revealed unnecessary tests being conducted at Bothra Diagnostic Centre without proper medical justification. Moreover, instances of forged signatures and seals on prescriptions at PBM Government Hospital were detected. So far, 19 FIRs have been filed, and 64 personnel suspended for irregularities, with around 500 beneficiary cards blocked and Rs 2 crore recovered for misuse. The state government emphasized that strict actions will persist to safeguard public funds and maintain the integrity of the RGHS scheme.
