The Rajasthan Youth Congress has dissolved its entire state executive as per directives from the party’s national leadership. This decision marks the conclusion of the terms of all office bearers, including the state general secretary and secretaries. The dissolution was prompted by an internal report highlighting prolonged inactivity, poor participation, and factionalism within the state unit.
The order, signed by Youth Congress in-charge Vikas Chhikara and co-in-charges Gyanesh Shukla and Kapil Desai, was issued recently. The party’s state in-charge submitted a report indicating that the Rajasthan Youth Congress did not meet the expected activity levels over an extended period. Allegedly, many office bearers were inactive and lacked regular involvement in organizational activities.
Around 344 office bearers comprised the dissolved state executive, with a significant number found to be disengaged from active organizational duties. Concerns arose within the state leadership due to unsatisfactory attendance at crucial programs. The party had previously issued showcause notices to over 200 inactive office bearers, some of whom reportedly did not respond.
The dissolution aims to pave the way for the formation of a new, more dynamic team within the organization. The Congress leadership intends to recruit dedicated grassroots-level youth leaders, especially given the upcoming political scenario in the state. Plans are underway to announce a new state executive committee following this decision.
As a result of the dissolution, political activities among aspirants for Rajasthan Youth Congress positions have intensified. Party leaders are actively engaging in outreach and lobbying efforts. This move is seen as a significant step towards revamping the organizational structure of the Rajasthan Youth Congress, with the national leadership intervening to enhance accountability and performance.
