Radha Yadav played a crucial innings, scoring 66 runs off 47 balls, including her first WPL fifty. She partnered with Richa Ghosh, who contributed 44 runs off 28 balls, in a 105-run stand for the fifth wicket. Nadine de Klerk’s quick 26 runs at the end boosted RCB’s total.
Sophie Devine stood out for Gujarat Giants, taking three wickets, but missed opportunities cost them. Despite the challenging start, GG’s strong batting lineup sets the stage for an exciting chase. RCB had a quick start with Grace Harris aggressive in the opening over, scoring 23 runs off it. However, GG fought back, with Kashvee Gautam dismissing Grace and Dayalan Hemalatha early on.
Radha and Richa then stabilized RCB’s innings with an attacking partnership, scoring boundaries against the opposition bowlers. Radha’s aggressive hitting, including a six and fours, along with Richa’s well-timed shots, lifted RCB’s score. The duo’s partnership flourished, with Radha reaching her maiden fifty in style and Richa showcasing her power with some big hits.
Nadine’s late onslaught, including two sixes and two fours in the 19th over, further boosted RCB’s total. Despite losing some wickets towards the end, RCB managed to surpass the 180-run mark.
