Jewellery designer turned actress Riddhima Kapoor Sahni marked her father, the late Bollywood star Rishi Kapoor’s sixth death anniversary on April 30 with heartfelt emotions. She shared a touching tribute on social media, expressing her love and longing for her father through a classic portrait. Remembering him, she wrote, “Until we meet again. I’ll keep celebrating you, loving you, and missing you–always.”
Rishi Kapoor, who battled leukemia, passed away on April 30, 2020, at the age of 67. He had been undergoing cancer treatment for several months before his demise. During the first wave of COVID-19 in India, strict restrictions limited attendance at his funeral, with only close family members, including his wife Neetu Kapoor and son Ranbir Kapoor, present to bid him farewell. Alia Bhatt, Ranbir’s wife, also stood by the family during this difficult time.
Despite residing in Delhi post-marriage, Riddhima was unable to reach Mumbai immediately due to travel restrictions imposed during the nationwide lockdown. Transitioning from a jewellery designer to an actress, she recently made her acting debut in the reality web series “The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives Season 2.” Riddhima is now gearing up for her Bollywood acting debut in “Dadi Ki Shaadi,” where her mother Neetu Kapoor will play a lead role, with her daughter Samara making a special appearance.
