Riyadh expressed strong condemnation for the recent Iranian attacks on Saudi Arabia and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) members, labeling them as a threat to security and stability. The Saudi Foreign Ministry emphasized its right to safeguard its security and people, denouncing the targeting of civilian objects, airports, and oil facilities as blatant violations of international law. The Ministry highlighted the escalating nature of the attacks and their potential impact on bilateral relations.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry responded to statements from the Iranian President denying plans to attack neighboring countries, asserting that Iran’s actions contradicted these claims. Saudi Arabia criticized Iran for continuing attacks based on unfounded allegations, including false claims about Saudi military involvement in conflicts. The Ministry underscored that the ongoing Iranian assaults not only escalate tensions but also undermine the prospects for peaceful relations between the two nations.

Following a military projectile striking a residential area in Al-Kharj Governorate, resulting in casualties and injuries, Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defence confirmed the incident. The attack led to the tragic deaths of two individuals from India and Bangladesh, with several others sustaining injuries. The Civil Defence condemned the targeting of civilian infrastructure, citing it as a clear violation of international humanitarian law and assured that appropriate measures were taken in response to the incident.
