Royal Challengers Bengaluru have won the toss and opted to bowl first against Delhi Capitals in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026, happening at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. Delhi Capitals have made a change, bringing in Lucy Hamilton for the injured Chinelle Henry. On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have revamped their squad with Georgia Voll, Prema Rawat, and Sayali Satghare replacing Arundhati Reddy, Linsey Smith, and Dayalan Hemalatha.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Smriti Mandhana expressed her team’s preference to field first, citing the need for an additional batter. Mandhana highlighted the importance of focusing on the basics and teamwork, emphasizing the significance of hard work on the field. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals captain Jemimah Rodrigues mentioned the inclusion of Lucy Hamilton, a debutant with experience leading Australia’s Under-19 side, in their lineup due to Chinelle Henry’s injury.
