The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has advised the Hindu community to remain cautious and not be misled by anti-national elements exploiting the recent Ram Temple donation theft incident to tarnish the image of the religion and society. RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale emphasized the need for Hindu unity to counter the schemes of anti-Hindu factions seeking to take advantage of the situation in Ayodhya. Hosabale expressed deep sorrow over the theft of funds from donation boxes at the Shri Ram Lalla Temple, stating that it has deeply affected the sentiments and beliefs of the entire community and devotees of Lord Ram.
At the behest of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the Uttar Pradesh government has formed a special investigation team to probe the matter and has initiated legal proceedings based on the team’s recommendations. Hosabale stressed the importance of ensuring that those responsible for the theft face stringent consequences as per the investigation findings. The RSS and the broader Hindu community anticipate that the Trust will treat this reprehensible incident as exceptional and implement necessary measures to rectify any deficiencies in management and governance to uphold the faith and devotion of millions of Ram devotees in the Ayodhya temple.
Hosabale called for an end to the prevailing confusion and uncertainty and urged both the temple management and the government-appointed investigation team to take decisive actions. He expressed hope that the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust would uphold the faith and confidence of the Hindu community through effective financial management, transparent operational systems, and a sacred environment characterized by righteousness and purity. Spiritual leader Dhirendra Krishna Shastri also condemned the misappropriation of donations at the Ram Temple, labeling it as a grave transgression and urging trust in the ongoing investigation and the legal system of the country.
