In a separate incident, a Ukrainian drone strike on the Southern Russia Air Navigation branch disrupted operations at 13 airports in southern Russia. The regional air traffic control center in Rostov-on-Don had to adjust operations temporarily following the attack.
The Russian Ministry of Transport assured the safety of all personnel at the affected facility and stated that equipment assessments were underway. Coordination efforts between the ministry, Federal Air Transport Agency, airlines, and airports are ongoing to manage flight schedules and air traffic procedures in the region.
Russia and Ukraine have accused each other of breaching the ceasefire, with both sides reporting continued attacks. The Russian Defence Ministry alleged over 1,300 ceasefire violations by Ukrainian forces, including drone and artillery attacks. Ukrainian President Zelensky condemned Russian forces for overnight attacks and hundreds of drone strikes along the frontline.
