Russia’s President Vladimir Putin highlighted the ongoing modernization of the country’s nuclear triad and Ground Forces under the State Armament Programme. He mentioned the increasing combat potential of the Aerospace Forces and Navy during a meeting with graduates of higher military schools. Putin expressed concerns about the unstable international environment, citing ongoing armed confrontations in the Middle East and heightened conflict risks globally, including in the Eurasian region.
Putin reiterated Russia’s commitment to advocating for equal and indivisible security for all nations. He emphasized the importance of establishing a multipolar system of international relations to ensure military security for every state. Additionally, Putin affirmed Russia’s readiness to respond promptly and effectively to both external and internal threats.
The Russian President disclosed that over 1,000 models of weapons and military equipment underwent field trials in combat conditions the previous year. These included unmanned aerial vehicles with upgraded guidance systems, loitering munitions, multipurpose robotic systems, and various other advanced equipment. Moreover, Putin criticized Western countries for openly discussing preparations for war against Russia and escalating their military expenditures.
Putin accused Western nations of supporting the Kyiv regime through illegitimate means and orchestrating a coup d’état, leading to heightened tensions. He condemned the West for creating threats against Russia, which, in turn, compelled Russia to take defensive actions. Putin criticized the West for unjustly accusing Russia of various wrongdoings to justify its aggressive policies and actions against the country.
