Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar commended Jammu & Kashmir for their historic victory in the Ranji Trophy 2025-26, highlighting their journey as a model of consistency and resilience in domestic cricket. Tendulkar lauded the team for their maiden title win over Karnataka, emphasizing the symbolic importance of this achievement for the region known for its cricket contributions.

Jammu & Kashmir secured their first-ever Ranji Trophy title by outperforming Karnataka in the final match held in Hubballi. With a strong first-innings lead and notable performances from players like Shubham Pundir and Auqib Nabi Dar, J&K dominated the game. Despite a draw in the final, J&K’s commanding first-innings performance sealed their victory.
