Former Indian cricketers Sandeep Patil and Madan Lal have decided to pull out of the Asian Legends League due to concerns about the league’s governance, credibility, and professionalism. Sandeep Patil emphasized that integrity and respect for the game are fundamental to him, leading to his withdrawal from the league.
Madan Lal also expressed worries about the league’s management and trustworthiness, prompting his immediate disassociation from the Asian Legends League. He highlighted that the league’s operations do not align with the values he upholds from his extensive career in Indian cricket.
The league’s second season, originally scheduled from January 19 to February 1, 2026, faced setbacks as both former cricketers and the league commissioner, Aakash Chopra, distanced themselves from the event.
