Actress Sanya Malhotra is thrilled to announce her upcoming performance at the 70th Filmfare Awards South. The event, in association with Kerala Tourism, will showcase talents from the Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada film industries. Joining Sanya are other notable performers like Nidhhi Agerwal, Pranitha Subhash, Aparna Balamurali, and Trisha Shetty.
Vishnu Warrier, RJ Mithun, and Ranjini Haridas will host the event alongside the lineup of performers. Sanya expressed her excitement for the occasion, calling it a special moment for her first-ever performance on a Filmfare stage. Sanya Malhotra is set to play a significant role in Anurag Kashyap’s “Bandar,” sharing the screen with Bobby Deol for the first time. The film, inspired by real-life events and produced by Nikhil Dwivedi under Saffron Magicworks, premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival. “Bandar” narrates the story of Samar, portrayed by Bobby Deol, an aging TV star striving to retain his fame. The film is slated for a theatrical release on May 22, 2026.
