The blockbuster success of Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’ caught everyone by surprise when it released on December 5, 2025. Nearly two months later, the Ranveer Singh-starrer continues to dominate conversations, and excitement is building for its sequel. With ‘Dhurandhar Part 2’ scheduled to hit theaters on March 19, 2026, actress Sara Arjun has shared promising insights about what audiences can expect from the highly anticipated follow-up.
Sara Arjun Teases Bigger Scale for Dhurandhar Sequel
The 20-year-old actress, who portrayed Yalina Jamali opposite Ranveer Singh’s Hamza, revealed that the sequel will amplify everything that made the first film a success. “The audiences have high expectations already after part one, but you can just expect a lot more of everything that you loved already in part one, be it action, be it the story, everything,” Sara explained.

Understanding Yalina Jamali’s Character Arc
In the first film, Sara played a headstrong character—the daughter of Pakistani politician Jameel Jamali, portrayed by Rakesh Bedi. Despite having experience as a child actor across multiple projects, Sara approached this role with meticulous preparation, conducting extensive workshops and character discussions with director Aditya Dhar.
“I really like how she just thinks with her heart. This is a girl who is very strong, and at the same time, she is so smitten, and she is following her heart,” Sara shared about her character. She revealed that Yalina’s true strength and the actual scope of her character will be fully explored in the sequel.
The actress explained her collaborative approach to building the character: “We had a lot of discussion initially, before starting on. We kept throwing ideas on how she would be as a person. We wanted to show that she’s a very happy and bright soul, and then, eventually, the course that follows and her journey through the film, the pain will be more justified later on.”
Personal Connection to the Role
Sara found personal resonance with Yalina’s character traits. “In general, Yalina is a bit similar to who I am. So, I held on to those similarities,” she noted. The actress also emphasized her philosophy about meaningful roles, stating that all characters “should matter to the story and not be just a prop.”
