Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson is set to feature in Ari Aster’s upcoming movie titled ‘Scapegoat’. The film, written by Aster himself, will be distributed by A24, the same company that released his previous four films. Plot details for the movie, as is customary with Aster’s works, are being kept confidential.

Aster, known for his Cannes premiere ‘Eddington’, will produce the film alongside Lars Knudsen under their Square Peg banner. Following the success of his horror hit ‘Hereditary’, Aster’s scripts have consistently garnered attention for their unique and original content. Despite Johansson’s packed schedule, which includes other major projects, she was drawn to the script and committed to starring in the film.

Johansson, who had a busy 2025 with the success of ‘Jurassic World: Rebirth’ and her directorial debut at Cannes, is now gearing up for this new cinematic venture. The film shoot is planned to accommodate her tight schedule, showcasing the actress’s versatility and dedication to her craft.
