The administration in Dhar has increased security measures in preparation for a significant religious event at the Bhojshala complex on Friday. This action follows a recent order by the Indore bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court regarding the Bhojshala-Kamal Maula Mosque dispute. The court ruled that the disputed site is a temple of goddess Vagdevi (Saraswati), granting permission for Hindu worship while rejecting the Muslim community’s claim.
Police personnel, armed with batons and automatic weapons, conducted a flag march in various parts of Dhar, including the sensitive Hatwara area, ahead of the scheduled event. Additional police forces have been deployed in key locations throughout the district, and surveillance has been heightened around the Bhojshala complex to prevent any potential disturbances.
Dhar Collector Rajiv Ranjan Meena and Superintendent of Police Sachin Sharma personally oversaw the security arrangements and engaged with local residents during the flag march. Superintendent Sharma cautioned against the dissemination of misinformation regarding the High Court’s ruling, emphasizing that only the law will be upheld moving forward. He also warned of strict repercussions for those attempting to disrupt the peace during the upcoming event.
Collector Meena urged citizens to cooperate with the authorities, emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and communal harmony. He stated that stringent actions would be taken against anyone inciting unrest or violating law and order. The administration’s security measures have been intensified across Dhar in anticipation of the religious gathering at Bhojshala.
