Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Manjalpur MLA Yogesh Patel, aged 80, passed away on Tuesday afternoon in Gujarat. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel expressed sorrow over Patel’s demise, praising his dedication to national service and public welfare. Patel, a popular public representative of Vadodara, had a long political career and won consecutive Assembly elections from Manjalpur.
Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi also mourned Patel’s death, highlighting his role as a senior BJP leader and MLA from Manjalpur. State BJP president Jagdish Vishwakarma acknowledged Patel’s decades of service to the party and the public. Patel, known for his grassroots political style, had been actively involved in public affairs and civic issues in Vadodara.
Patel, a prominent figure in Vadodara politics, had previously represented the Raopura constituency and served as the pro-tem Speaker of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly in December 2022. His contributions to public service and the BJP organization were widely recognized.
