Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly in advanced discussions with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a new romance movie. The film will feature Khan in an age-appropriate character, aged over 50. Sources suggest that Khan’s character will be facing career challenges and will find love with a woman who runs a start-up.
Previously, Khan turned down a film offer, likely for “Inshaallah,” which was shelved after Salman Khan’s exit. Bhansali and Khan had earlier collaborated on the successful film “Devdas,” a period romantic drama featuring Aishwarya Rai, Madhuri Dixit, and others.
Shah Rukh Khan is currently occupied with his upcoming action thriller “King,” directed by Siddharth Anand. Meanwhile, in 2024, Bhansali ventured into the OTT space with the series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,” set in Lahore’s Heera Mandi during the Indian independence movement.
