Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur is working on a new romance series for a major global OTT platform. The series is based on the popular U.S. novel ‘My Name Is Memory’ and is being developed, produced, and directed by Kapur. This project is part of Kapur’s international portfolio and not a return to Indian storytelling.
Kapur, known for his impactful works like ‘Bandit Queen’ and ‘Elizabeth’, is expanding his global influence with this new series. His recent film, ‘What’s Love Got to Do with It?’, received acclaim at the UK National Film Awards. Kapur was honored with the Padma Bhushan in 2025 for his remarkable contributions to cinema.
In a recent Instagram post, Kapur shared a deep reflection on the concept of black holes within the human body. He pondered the idea of every cell in the body being a replica of the universe and the vibrations that may create the illusion of physical matter. Kapur’s philosophical musings intrigued his followers and sparked discussions on the nature of existence.
