Actor Shekhar Suman recently shared an interesting insight about veteran Bollywood actress Rekha. He mentioned that Rekha is deeply fascinated by fellow actress Mumtaz and even excels in mimicking her mannerisms. Suman highlighted that Rekha’s gestures and style bear a noticeable influence of Mumtaz.

Rekha starred in Shekhar Suman’s debut film “Utsav” in 1984, directed by Girish Karnad. The movie, based on the play “Mrichakatika (The Little Clay Cart)” by Śūdraka, revolves around the story of a courtesan named Vasantasena (played by Rekha) and her encounter with a Brahmin man named Charudatta (played by Shekhar Suman) in Ujjain.

During a conversation with the media, Shekhar Suman also highlighted the importance of proper speech in the film industry. He emphasized the significance of actors pronouncing common words correctly, underscoring the connection between acting and speech. Suman pointed out the exemplary language skills of legends like Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan, stressing the impact of language proficiency on an actor’s career.
