In a distressing incident in Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh, a 19-year-old woman was abducted and gang-raped by a man and his friends while in a moving car. The victim, who had been in a relationship with the main accused, Badal Raja, for four years, was allegedly taken away forcibly by him and two others.
The victim’s mother reported the incident to the police, stating that her daughter was abducted by Badal Raja and his associates. The victim managed to contact her sister during the ordeal, seeking help from her family. Subsequently, the family located her near the railway station in a distressed state and brought her to the police station.
Following the complaint, the police filed an FIR and assembled a special team to investigate the matter. Two of the accused were arrested during the investigation, while a third unidentified individual was apprehended in a police encounter, sustaining a leg injury and currently receiving medical treatment.
During the encounter, the police seized a .315 bore country-made pistol, cartridges, a mobile phone, liquor, and a car from the accused. The suspects will be presented in court based on the available evidence, with further investigations ongoing.
In a separate incident in Ghaziabad’s Raj Nagar Extension, a seven-year-old girl was discovered dead in the basement of an under-construction mall. The child, who was befriended by one of the accused, was found to have been raped and died from a head injury. An FIR has been lodged, and investigations are underway based on a complaint from the family.
