The Shooting League of Karnataka is introducing a franchise-based competitive format to offer opportunities to shooters in the state. The league, organized under the Shooting League of India (SLI), began with auctions and will feature qualification rounds on February 28, leading to the semi-finals and finals on March 1.

Eight teams, including Caliber Capitals and Bangalore Brigade, will participate in a mixed-team format with 11 players per side. The league will cover various disciplines like 10m Air Pistol, 10m Air Rifle, 25m Pistol, 50m Rifle, Trap, and Skeet, following a modified SLI format for a more concise competition.

The event attracted 136 shooters, with eight international athletes from Karnataka among them. The auction saw players like Krutharth Devang Savyasachi and Anushka H Thokur commanding high bids, emphasizing the talent and competitiveness in the league. The league’s structure aims to enhance visibility, value, and opportunities for shooters in Karnataka.
