In a surprising turn of events in the Nikki Bhati death case, Kanchan Bhati, the sister of the deceased, is set to return to her marital home in Greater Noida. This decision follows a prolonged dispute lasting nearly nine months. The families reached a settlement with the help of a Panchayat mediation.
Under the terms of the agreement, Kanchan will go back to the home where her sister faced severe burn injuries leading to her death. Her husband, Vipin, was accused of setting her on fire and was arrested. Both families have now agreed to transfer property to Nikki’s children and send Kanchan back to her marital home to ensure the children’s rights and secure future.
The families will start the legal process of dropping the case against Nikki’s in-laws by submitting an affidavit to the court after the settlement. The decision was made after thorough discussions during Panchayat sessions in the presence of elders and community members. The resolution aims to prioritize the children’s future and maintain family bonds.
