At least six individuals, including three women and a child, lost their lives in a devastating road crash involving multiple vehicles in Bihar’s Khagaria district. The collision occurred on National Highway-31 near Mansi Police Station around 3:30 p.m. The mishap involved a truck, a Scorpio SUV, and an auto-rickshaw.
Eyewitnesses described the accident as severe, with the auto-rickshaw completely wrecked and the Scorpio’s front extensively damaged. The impact was so intense that passengers from the auto-rickshaw were thrown onto the road, resulting in several immediate fatalities and critical injuries to others.
Following the loud crash, local residents and passersby rushed to the scene to assist in rescue operations. Police arrived promptly and, with the help of locals, transported the injured to the hospital for treatment. Authorities have taken possession of the bodies for post-mortem examination and seized the damaged vehicles, including the truck, while searching for the absconding truck driver.
