Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Smriti Irani expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for implementing the Women’s Reservation Act. She praised the move towards political equity for women in India. Irani also criticized the Left Party, stating it stands for “mayhem and constitutional anarchy.”

The Women’s Reservation Act, now the Constitution (106th Amendment) Act, 2023, mandates 33% reservation for women in various legislative bodies. Irani commended PM Modi’s leadership in making this affirmative action a reality.

Regarding Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s claim of nearly eradicating Naxalism, Irani rebuked the Left Party for promoting mayhem and constitutional anarchy. She described Naxalism as an organization aimed at destabilizing the country and citizens’ faith in justice.

Irani accused the Kerala governments of institutionalizing corruption and criticized the Congress and CPI-M for baseless accusations. She expressed hope for BJP’s success in Kerala under PM Modi’s leadership, aiming for new development milestones in the state.

Campaigning for Assembly elections in various states, including West Bengal, Irani accused the Trinamool Congress government of corruption, linking the party with unethical practices.
