A tragic incident unfolded in Hardoi district, Uttar Pradesh, where a son-in-law allegedly used a hockey stick to fatally beat his father-in-law following a dispute. The victim, Ashok Babu, along with his sister Alka, was attacked by the accused, Manmohan alias Mannu, near a canal in the Pachdevra police station area. The assault left Ashok critically injured, leading to his demise despite medical efforts.

The confrontation between the father-in-law and son-in-law, already embroiled in a dispute, escalated when Manmohan intercepted the victims on their way back from a temple visit. Striking Ashok multiple times with the hockey stick, the assailant inflicted severe injuries that proved fatal. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter, with efforts underway to apprehend the accused, who is currently evading authorities.

The local community has been left in shock by the brutal incident, as the relationship between a father-in-law and son-in-law is traditionally viewed with respect and trust. This tragic event underscores the breakdown of family ties and the extreme consequences that can result from unresolved disputes. The police are actively pursuing the case, aiming to bring the perpetrator to justice and shed light on the motive behind this heinous crime.
