Director-producer Sooraj Barjatya is gearing up to release his new OTT production titled ‘Sangamarmar’. The series trailer, revealed recently, teases a multi-generational family drama set across two timelines over 25 years. It revolves around Amrita, a woman whose life takes a significant turn due to a crucial decision she makes, prioritizing family obligations over personal dreams and a budding romance with Aditya.
Barjatya described ‘Sangamarmar’ as a narrative reflecting common family dynamics, emphasizing real relationships with elements like love, misunderstandings, waiting, and the endurance required to sustain bonds. The show’s essence lies in patience and how time can both challenge and mend relationships. Collaborating with Jio Studios and JioHotstar has been a fulfilling experience for Barjatya, enabling them to present the story authentically to viewers.
Directed by Vikram Ghai, ‘Sangamarmar’ delves into themes of love, family, and life-altering choices. It embodies the emotional depth and storytelling warmth characteristic of Barjatya’s works. The series stars Sheen Savita Dass and Sourabh Raaj Jain in pivotal roles, supported by a talented cast including Smita Bansal, Khalid Siddiqui, Farooq Saeed, Swati Tarar, Jaya Ojha, Avinash Wadhwani, and others.
