The revision exercise has also identified various discrepancies, including untraceable or absent electors, permanently shifted electors, deceased electors, voters enrolled elsewhere, and cases falling under the ‘Others’ category.
The Special Intensive Revision aims to update and verify electoral rolls for enhanced accuracy in future elections. The house-to-house verification and digitization of Enumeration Forms will continue until July 29.
The BJP has raised concerns about alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Karnataka, accusing the Congress government of manipulating voter lists. The party has highlighted issues such as the enrollment of illegal immigrants and fake voters, questioned the role of Booth Level Officers (BLOs), and called for a transparent and impartial verification process under the Election Commission’s oversight.
