Sri Lanka’s women’s team is scheduled to visit the West Indies for a six-match white-ball tour from late February to early March. The tour will include three One-Day Internationals and three T20 Internationals, all set to be held at the Grenada National Stadium in Grenada. The ODI matches are slated for February 20, 22, and 25, followed by the T20Is on February 28, March 1, and March 3.
The upcoming T20I contests hold particular importance as both teams gear up for the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup in the UK later this year. In Group 2 of the tournament, Sri Lanka and the West Indies will compete alongside England, New Zealand, and two yet-to-qualify teams. The Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) officially announced the tour, emphasizing the ODI series kick-off followed by the T20I series, all to be hosted in Grenada.
Sri Lanka aims to break their T20I series drought dating back to their 2024 Asia Cup victory, while the West Indies boast strong home form after recent T20I series wins against Bangladesh and South Africa. The last encounter between the two teams in the Caribbean in 2024 saw Sri Lanka dominating the ODI series with a 3-0 win, countered by West Indies clinching the T20I series 2-1. Presently, Sri Lanka ranks sixth in the Women’s ODI team rankings, with the West Indies at ninth. In the T20I rankings, the West Indies hold the sixth spot, while Sri Lanka is positioned seventh.
