Star couple Prateik and Priya Banerjee Patil have collaborated for the first time in the song “Ishq Fakir,” drawing inspiration from the classic tale of Heer-Ranjha. The music video pays homage to enduring love, portraying a woman’s emotional journey back to a past love that destiny once separated. The narrative delves into themes of longing, devotion, and the enduring nature of a bond that transcends time.
Prateik shared that the creators provided a reference of Heer-Ranjha, making it easier to approach the project as it resonated with their own passionate love story, albeit with a different ending. He emphasized their involvement in shaping the story, screenplay, and overall vision of the music video.
The couple expressed their enthusiasm for the project, with Priya mentioning their instant connection with the song’s concept and atmosphere. Filmed in Punjab, the experience was a blend of pressure and excitement, exploring local culture and real locations. The duo praised the collaboration with JMP Music, expressing their joy and anticipation for the release of “Ishq Fakir.”
Priya described the shoot as enjoyable and effortless, particularly relishing the experience of filming in a picturesque village near Chandigarh.
