Suchi Semicon expressed gratitude for the Cabinet’s approval of its semiconductor project in Gujarat, valued at approximately Rs 868 crore. This project, part of the India Semiconductor Mission, aims to enhance indigenous capabilities in a crucial sector. The company is dedicated to contributing to India’s self-reliance in semiconductor manufacturing.
Ashok Mehta, Founder and Chairman of Suchi Semicon, hailed the project’s approval as a significant milestone for the organization and a valuable step towards bolstering India’s strategic and economic interests. The semiconductor industry plays a pivotal role in various aspects of modern life, from automotive technology to national security equipment.
Under the India Semiconductor Mission, Suchi Semicon is establishing an Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test facility in Surat, Gujarat. This facility will cater to both domestic and global demand for power electronics, analog ICs, and industrial systems. Suchi Semicon reaffirmed its commitment to supporting India’s semiconductor manufacturing goals.
The approval of two new semiconductor projects, including Suchi Semicon’s initiative, underlines the government’s efforts to promote a self-reliant semiconductor ecosystem in India. These projects are expected to create employment opportunities for around 2,230 skilled professionals. The addition of advanced technologies like Mini/Micro-LED manufacturing will further strengthen India’s position in next-generation technologies and innovation.
Suchi Semicon has already established an Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test facility in Surat, Gujarat, with a significant annual chip production capacity. Additionally, the Crystal Matrix facility in Dholera, Gujarat, will focus on compound semiconductor fabrication and assembly, testing, and packaging. It will specialize in manufacturing Mini/Micro-LED display modules and offer GaN foundry services.
