NCP(SP) working president and MP, Supriya Sule, dismissed media speculation about the party supporting the Central Government’s Delimitation Bill in the upcoming Parliament session. Sule clarified that the party has not received any proposal regarding the Bill and will announce its stance within 24 hours of its tabling.
Addressing a press conference in Mumbai, Sule refuted reports suggesting NCP’s alignment with the ruling NDA or Mahayuti in Maharashtra. Speculation arose following reports indicating NCP’s potential backing of the Central Government on the delimitation Bill.
Sule emphasized that the party has not made any official statement on the Delimitation Bill and all reports are based on unnamed sources. She reassured party workers and allies within Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) of the party’s position after consulting with senior leaders.
Sule confirmed that no deal or proposal has been received regarding the Delimitation Bill and stated that the party will analyze the draft before announcing its position. Amid rumors of NCP joining the NDA and potential ministerial offers, Sule affirmed the party’s commitment to its current stance.
