In his first address to Nandigram Assembly voters after winning a third term, Suvendu Adhikari advised BJP workers against mimicking the Trinamool Congress’ post-election violence culture. Adhikari emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and urged refraining from unlawful actions.

Adhikari instructed the party leadership in East Midnapore to postpone victory processions until the new cabinet’s oath-taking on May 9. He stressed the need for peaceful conduct and obtaining prior permission from the district administration for any celebrations.

BJP candidates secured victories in all 16 Assembly constituencies in East Midnapore, a former stronghold of the Trinamool Congress. Adhikari, who also won from Bhabanipur, highlighted “patience” and “tolerance” as key factors behind BJP’s success in West Bengal.

Adhikari assured legal action against those responsible for past injustices and pledged the establishment of an English-medium school and an ITI college in Nandigram. He expressed gratitude to voters and vowed to serve them diligently for their continued trust.

The BJP leader emphasized the government’s commitment to serving the people to earn re-election based on merit rather than coercion. Adhikari reiterated the importance of upholding the law and refraining from vigilantism for justice to prevail.
