Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and National Working President, criticized the Bihar state government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, stating that the NDA has disappointed the people. He highlighted on social media platform X that despite the National Democratic Alliance’s long tenure, Bihar remains the poorest state in the country. Tejashwi Yadav pointed out various indicators where Bihar ranks poorly compared to other states, including high migration, crime, corruption, unemployment, poverty rates, and low development indicators.
Tejashwi also mentioned that Bihar lags in literacy rate, per capita income, farmers’ income, investment, consumption, computer literacy, electricity usage, infrastructure, education quality, industrial units, and availability of computer labs in schools. He criticized the high prices residents pay for essential services like LPG, electricity, petrol, diesel, property, and land. Tejashwi accused the ruling alliance of failing to meet development benchmarks and national indices during their 21-year rule, alleging manipulation, misuse of resources, vote-buying, and caste-based politics.
Tejashwi Yadav’s consistent criticism of the Nitish Kumar government, including the release of crime bulletins, has reignited the political debate between the opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal and the ruling NDA in Bihar regarding development and governance in the state.
