Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy addressed the misinterpretation of his statement ‘Nene Raju, Nene Mantri’ on Sunday. He explained that he meant to emphasize his responsibility as both the Chief Minister and Municipal Administration Minister for the municipal election outcomes. Reddy made this clarification during the Sant Sevalal Jayanti celebrations in Hyderabad, highlighting his commitment to serving the people.
Reddy had initially made the remark during a media interaction in New Delhi, asserting that there was no competition for the Chief Minister’s position in state politics or within the Congress party. He stressed that his focus was on the municipal elections and not on assuming a regal role. The Chief Minister expressed his dedication to working for the welfare of the underprivileged, emphasizing humility in victory and resilience in defeat.
During the event, Reddy praised the Lambada community for their contribution to the Telangana movement and announced plans to improve infrastructure in tribal hamlets. He underscored the government’s commitment to providing essential amenities like roads, schools, and electricity to these communities. Reddy also highlighted the government’s initiatives aimed at empowering marginalized sections of society, advocating for their active participation in governance.
