Telangana Congress leaders have criticized BJP MP Dharampuri Arvind for suggesting that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy might switch to the BJP, similar to Suvendu Adhikari in West Bengal. They pointed out that Arvind’s own family started their political journey with the Congress. Arvind had implied that Revanth Reddy could be aligning with PM Narendra Modi, drawing parallels to Adhikari’s move to the BJP.
Congress leader Addanki Dayakar questioned Arvind’s wisdom and defended Revanth Reddy’s commitment to making Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister. He also highlighted Revanth Reddy’s background before joining the Congress. Dayakar dismissed Arvind’s claim that senior Congress leaders were overlooked for Revanth Reddy’s position.
Telangana Welfare Minister Adluri Lakshman Kumar condemned Arvind’s remarks as inappropriate and urged him to focus on public issues rather than engaging in political attacks. He emphasized that personal criticism of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will not be tolerated, warning against unwarranted comments about his family.
