Telangana’s Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister, Danasari Anasuya Seethakka, has issued a legal notice to former Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, regarding allegations made on the party’s social media platforms. The notice demands that KCR take responsibility for the posts, remove them, and apologize within 48 hours to avoid civil and criminal action.
The legal notice emphasizes that as the head of BRS, KCR is accountable for all the party’s activities, including social media content. The minister’s lawyer expressed shock at false accusations made on social media, claiming corruption in the procurement of mobile phones for Anganwadi workers, which she denies any involvement in.
Seethakka clarified that the procurement of smartphones was handled by Telangana Technology Services Limited through a bidding process, in which she had no role. The notice refuted claims of corruption amounting to Rs 30 crore as baseless, highlighting that the actual tender was for Rs 44 crore. The minister labeled the allegations as defamatory and demanded the removal of the posts and a public apology on various platforms.
