Three individuals were apprehended in East Delhi’s Madhu Vihar for operating an online IPL betting scheme using apps like “Sky Live Pro” and “Data Calculation Ver 1.0”. The accused, identified as Manish Jain, Abhishek Jain, and Arpit Gupta, were caught with electronic devices and betting records.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajeev Kumar disclosed that the trio was seized with laptops, tablets, mobile phones, and handwritten betting entries. An FIR was lodged under the Delhi Public Gambling Act, 1955, against the arrested individuals at Police Station Madhu Vihar.
The police were tipped off about the illegal betting activities during an IPL T-20 match. Acting swiftly, the authorities raided the premises and found the accused coordinating bets with punters via phone calls. The investigation is ongoing to uncover the syndicate’s network and financial transactions.
