Three youths lost their lives, and two others were injured in a tragic road accident in Bihar’s Supaul district. The incident occurred when two motorcycles collided head-on near Nemanma Chowk under the Kishanpur police station area. Eyewitnesses reported that the motorcycles were speeding before the collision, leading to a fatal impact.
Local residents rushed to help the victims and took the injured to Supaul Sadar Hospital. Sadly, one of the injured youths passed away during treatment, raising the death toll to three. The remaining injured individuals are in critical condition, with plans underway to transfer them to a specialized medical facility for further care.
Reports indicate that all the victims, aged between 18 and 25, were involved in the accident. It was noted that three youths were on one motorcycle, hinting at a potential traffic violation. The deceased were reportedly not wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
Authorities suspect that overspeeding and negligence were the main factors behind the accident, although a detailed investigation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances. The SHO of Kishanpur police station mentioned that statements from witnesses are being collected as part of the inquiry.
Upon receiving the news, the police took control of the situation, confiscated the motorcycles, and arranged for post-mortem examinations of the deceased. The bodies were later released to their families, while the injured individuals continue to receive medical treatment.
