Tips Music Limited has issued a response to allegations made by Puja Entertainment in an ongoing legal conflict regarding music and intellectual property rights. Puja Entertainment had approached a Bihar court, accusing Tips of unauthorized use and commercial exploitation of its films, songs, and copyrighted content. Following this, the court granted interim protection to Puja Entertainment and instructed all parties involved to maintain the current situation. Tips Music Limited, in a statement shared on Instagram, clarified its ownership of the music rights in question, citing valid agreements between the parties.
The statement emphasized that Tips has lawfully exercised these rights for almost thirty years in compliance with relevant laws. It denounced Puja Entertainment’s claims as baseless, malicious, and aimed at damaging Tips’ reputation and goodwill. Tips expressed confidence in defending its rights in court and vowed to take necessary legal actions to safeguard its interests and ownership of the rights. Pooja Entertainment, established by Vashu Bhagnani in 1986, is known for producing popular comedies like “Coolie No.1,” “Hero No.1,” and “Biwi No.1,” while Tips Music, founded in 1975 by Kumar S. Taurani and Ramesh S. Taurani, has a longstanding presence in the music industry.
