Trinamool Congress legislator and party spokesman, Kunal Ghosh, raised concerns on social media about the decisions made at the recent national working committee meeting. The meeting decided to keep Abhishek Banerjee as the party’s General Secretary, alongside appointing two Deputy General Secretaries, Derk O’Brien and Dola Sen, both Rajya Sabha members. This move surprised many in the state’s political circles, especially given the internal dissent within the party.

Kunal Ghosh, without directly mentioning the recent decisions, expressed his discontent with certain leadership choices of the Trinamool Congress through a social media post. He highlighted the need to address mistakes within the party and listen to the concerns of party workers, students, and youth across West Bengal. Ghosh emphasized his loyalty to Mamata Banerjee while acknowledging the party’s repeated missteps.

Ghosh clarified his stance, stating his alignment with Mamata Banerjee but distancing himself from those he perceives as betraying the party. He emphasized the importance of remaining vigilant and open-minded both internally and externally, signaling his commitment to constructive engagement within the party.
