Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha condemned the Tipra Motha Party (TMP) for alleged corruption in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC). He emphasized the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) commitment to tribal community development during the party’s campaign for the TTAADC elections. Saha expressed disappointment in the TMP-led administration’s failure to utilize state funds effectively.

Saha highlighted the dire state of development in tribal areas, citing poor conditions in facilities like smoke houses for rubber sheet processing. Despite significant financial allocations for healthcare and infrastructure projects, he noted a lack of corresponding progress on the ground. The Chief Minister underscored the BJP’s transparency in governance and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dedication to tribal welfare.

During his visit to an injured BJP candidate’s residence, Saha assured the candidate and his family of legal action against those responsible for the attack. He informed the media that one attacker had been arrested, while another remained at large. Saha affirmed the BJP’s resilience in the face of such violence, stating that such acts would not deter party workers.
