Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb from West Tripura has shown exceptional efficiency in utilizing Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) funds. Official data reveals that over 93% of the allocated funds were spent within nearly two years of his tenure, surpassing the national average.
During his previous term as a Rajya Sabha member, Deb achieved 100% utilization of MPLADS funds. Presently, he has sanctioned 32 development projects worth Rs 10.44 crore under MPLADS, with significant progress reported in their implementation.
The utilization rate of MPLADS funds by Deb stands out, with 29 out of 32 projects already in progress and 15 projects successfully completed. The remaining projects are at various stages of implementation, showcasing effective allocation and execution of development initiatives.
In the financial years 2024-25 to 2026-27, Deb has been proactive in approving and overseeing the progress of various projects aimed at enhancing infrastructure and public welfare in West Tripura. His active involvement in parliamentary debates on national issues further underscores his commitment to public service.
