US President Donald Trump stated in an interview that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky needs his approval for decisions. The two leaders are set to meet in Florida to discuss a 20-point peace plan for resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict. This plan includes topics like a demilitarized zone, nuclear plant management, and territorial control.
Zelensky, on the other hand, aims to address security guarantees for Ukraine during the meeting with Trump. He emphasized the importance of discussing territorial issues and control of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. Zelensky mentioned that the peace plan is almost finalized, with drafts of security guarantee documents already prepared.
The Ukrainian President highlighted the involvement of Ukraine, the US, Russia, and Europe in the peace plan discussions. He stressed that the plan cannot be signed without the participation of Russia and Europe. Zelensky confirmed an upcoming high-level meeting with President Trump, expressing optimism about making significant decisions before the New Year.
