President Donald Trump made a statement at a conference in Miami, Florida, suggesting that “Cuba is next” following recent US actions in Venezuela and Iran. Trump urged the media to disregard his comment, emphasizing that Cuba would be the next focus. This declaration came after US military operations in Venezuela and joint attacks with Israel on Iran.

The economic and energy crisis in Cuba, exacerbated by longstanding US sanctions, has led to severe fuel shortages and a looming humanitarian crisis, as highlighted by the United Nations. Trump had previously warned that Cuba would face consequences soon but indicated a current focus on Iran.

Furthermore, Trump criticized NATO, labeling it a “paper tiger” and questioning the necessity of defending allies who he felt had not adequately supported the US in times of need. Speaking at a summit in Miami, Trump expressed disappointment in NATO’s response, suggesting a reevaluation of US commitments to the alliance based on the perceived lack of support during critical moments.

In candid remarks, Trump recounted discussions with European leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron, revealing that offers of assistance were made only after military actions had concluded. Trump emphasized the need for reciprocal support, questioning the value of US presence if allies were not forthcoming in times of crisis.
