Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) leader Vijay is breaking his 55-day absence from public life to speak at a gathering of party executives near Salem. The event, scheduled at KVP Garden near Sheelanayakkanpatti at 12 pm, is expected to attract significant political interest before the upcoming Assembly elections. Only 4,998 attendees with QR code-enabled passes will be allowed inside, highlighting the party’s focus on crowd control and safety measures.
Organizers have arranged seven parking zones for vehicles, water facilities, toilets, and separate entry points for men and women to ensure a smooth flow of activities. Security and medical readiness are key priorities, with 25 CCTV cameras monitoring the area and 15 medical teams along with six medical camps on standby for emergencies. Inside the venue, twenty galleries have been set up, each accommodating around 250 individuals, with Vijay speaking from a stage positioned 50 meters away from the seating areas for safety.
Before the event, the Deputy Commissioner of Police inspected the site and prohibited access to a nearby hill for security reasons. Party leaders like TVK General Secretary Bussy Anand, Sengottaiyan, Nirmal Kumar, and Aadhav Arjun personally oversaw the final arrangements. Despite limited access, the atmosphere outside the venue was lively, with residents from nearby regions gathering in anticipation of seeing the actor-turned-politician. Vijay’s return after a prolonged absence has stirred speculation in political circles.
Many believe his speech could reveal the party’s future strategies as Tamil Nadu approaches elections. With high expectations, both supporters and opponents are closely monitoring how the TVK leader aims to position his party in the changing political scenario.
