The Union Cabinet praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for achieving the milestone of being India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister with consecutive terms. PM Modi surpassed Jawaharlal Nehru’s record, having served for 4,399 days in office. Notably, Nehru’s tenure from 1952 was considered, excluding his interim government period before the first general elections.
PM Modi’s leadership has seen significant infrastructure and nation-building projects, such as the new Parliament building, Central Vista redevelopment, and the Statue of Unity. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is set to hold a meeting to celebrate the 12-year mark of its government and PM Modi’s historic achievement. The event will involve top BJP leaders, chief ministers, and deputy chief ministers from NDA-ruled states, focusing on achievements, future policies, and electoral strategies.
Senior Union ministers like Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah will be present at the event, along with other NDA leaders. The meeting aims to highlight the NDA government’s accomplishments and discuss governance initiatives, development programs, and plans for upcoming electoral contests.
